What will I learn?

GNS3 Software Usage Purposes
GNS3 Setup
GNS3 Images
GNS3 Network Devices
GNS3 Vmware Workstation Integration
GNS3 Project Creation
Making Projects with GNS3
Saving Projects with GNS3

Requirements

Having completed TCP / IP Basic Network Training
Having completed Vmware Workstation Training
Preferably to have completed Advanced Network (A) Training to the Summit in Corporate Systems
PC or Laptop with 8GB RAM minimum i5 and 250GB disk

Explanation

The purpose of this course is to provide infrastructure for people who work or want to work in the network and system area, to develop their network projects in their environment and work. With this software, you can configure the most complicated network devices as if you were in front of the device. You can realize your projects.

We touched on important topics in this training:

1. What is GNS3?
2. GNS3 Setup
3. GNS3 Images
4. GNS3 Network Devices
5. GNS Vmware Integration
6. Preparation of Projects with GNS3
7. GNS3 Sample Project Study

Who can attend?

Career Aimers in Network
Beginning a Career in Network
Those who want to work in IT

What is GNS3?

It is a simulation software that enables us to operate devices such as routers, switches, firewalls on our computer virtually but with the same features. We can use the image of the operating system running inside a physical device (called in iOS or flash) to GNS3 and use it as if it were working with the physical device.

The software that works inside devices such as firewall, router, switch, the ie operating system is called IOS, image or flash.

In this way, we can have the opportunity to examine the devices without purchasing them, to learn their features, performance, and logic. Also, GNS3 is used for educational purposes. They cannot provide a real physical environment by giving routers, firewalls, and switches to every student to make scenarios/projects in their courses that provide network, security or system training. However, they can provide training by creating projects or scenarios using as many routers, switches, firewalls as they want in the GNS3 program.

GNS3 creates a simulated environment just how the devices and/or network work. The menus, commands, and command screens of the devices in GNS3 are the same as those on real physical devices. Just as your device doesn't work when you do something wrong, it won't work the same in GNS3.

As a result, the software works in the physical switch, firewall or router. When you drop the same software into GNS3, the software works the same way it works in the physical device. In this way, you can test it by configuring a virtual firewall, switch or router, and learn how to use the devices.

In GNS3, VMs (virtual machines) can be run on virtual servers. But we will not use a VM. Our aim in this series is to create and implement various scenarios with network devices in GNS3.
